Mr. Jerry B. Tarbolo, Jr.
Secretary General-FLY

Mr. Jerry B. Tarbolo, Jr. was born unto the union of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry B. Tarbolo in Montserrado County. He started his Day-Care at the Red Cross, and later matriculated at the Seventh Day Advantist-(SDA) High school where he began his primary education and obtained a diploma after his completion at the secondary level. Mr. Jerry B. Tarbolo, Jr. later enrolled at Vision Computer Institution where he obtained a diploma in Soft Ware-Soft Ware Processor. With the desire to acquire more knowledge, he later got admission at the University of Liberia where he obtained a BA degree in Political Science and History. He is currently working on his process for the Master program at the IBB-School of International Relation at the University of Liberia where he will be obtaining his Masters in Political Science.

Mr. Tarbolo, Jr. has obtained other professional certificates from within and out of the country. He got a certificate in Criminal Justices Research and Education from the Center for Criminal Justices and Research, additionally, he obtained a certificate in principle based leadership and leadership and ethics from the Point Man Leadership Institute in South Africa. He has also received other acolytes as an outstanding young man in the youth community, and the Church. He was commissioned as young peace ambassador, commissioned as Youth of the First Order-Silon Baptist Church, coordinator youth and young adult-St. Peters United Methodist Church, awarded the peace medal as an outstanding young man and peace ambassador amongst the youth on the Oldroad.

Mr. Tarbolo, Jr. has also rendered some professional services in the community he lived and the country at large. He started his first job as a Filling Clerk at the Constance & Associates Law Firm. He later left and got employed as a Social Studies Teacher at the David Lombel Memorial Institute on the Oldroad. After years of service to said institution, he was asked to accept a post as Dean of Students at the Ford-Madden Christian Academy on the same Oldroad. Currently he is the Secretary General of the Federation of Liberian Youth.

This youth leader has traveled extensively to countries like: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Egypt. Some of these trips were to attend seminars on behalf of FLY, some state visit with the president of Liberia and some to provide training for other youths in post conflict countries. Locally, Mr. Tarbolo, Jr. has traveled to all of the fifteen political sub-division of Liberia interacting with young people and mitigating in crisis arousing from FLY’s County structures. In fact he was one of the major brains behind the establishment of FLY decentralization in the fifteen political sub-divisions of Liberia. It thru the blood and sweat of this young man that today young people in the various counties can boast of having their independent voices heard at the national and sub-national levels.
